Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Stains are available in a range of colours that co-ordinate with the nostalgic palette of Ranger's Distress Range. Distress Stains are fluid water-based dyes designed to be used on papers and other porous surfaces and can be used for quick and easy ink coverage for larger areas and when creating backgrounds.

If you want to lighten the colours and create a mottled effect just mist with with water and you can apply layers of stain to achieve a more saturated colour.

The brushed nylon dabber top has a built-in spring valve which allows you to control the release of the Distress Stains from the bottle. By pressing the dabber top down onto the surface your working on, the valve opens and fluid releases. To stop the flow just lift the dabber away from the surface. You can spread Distress Stains by swiping the dabber top lightly as a brush across the surface.
