Tim Holtz® Distress Stains™

Yes, it's that time of year again where we get bombarded with press releases on new release from all of our suppliers and this year Ranger have really outdone themselves.

The first product we can reveal to you are these stunning Distress Stains which are fluid water-based dyes for papers and other porous surfaces available in twelve stunning distress colours. The Distress Stains will be released by Ranger in February at the CHA show and will be available to pre-order on our site within the next few days, as with all Ranger new releases we would recommend that you take the release date with a pinch of salt and we think that we will get our first batch to ship in the first half of March.

Designed to be used for quick and easy ink coverage for backgrounds and larger areas, you can mist them with water to lighten the colour and create mottled effects, or apply layers of stain to achieve more saturated colour. 

The top is a brushed nylon dabber which has a built-in spring valve, which allows for controlling the release of Distress Stains from the bottle. By pressing the dabber top down onto surface, the valve opens and fluid releases and if you lift dabber away from surface the fluid flow stops. You can also spread Distress Stains by swiping the dabber top lightly as a brush across the surface.

Note: If your Distress Stain project will be used outdoors you will need to seal the surface with a weatherproof sealer.

Available in 12 colors that coordinate with the nostalgic palette of Distress products, Distress Stains are fluid water-based dyes for papers and other porous surfaces.
